james considers himself an intellectual of sorts. when he's not at his part-time job at gamestop, he's spending a good chunk of his time reading various books (and even the disctionary sometimes) and browsing the internet's information superhighway, or what's left of it, at least. he's especially fond of reddit (unfortunately). if he's not doing that, then he's gushing over minako minami, his ultimate waifu from this anime called "Mahou Onna Office Lady Briefcase Pretty!". he's so dedicated to her that he even has a shrine of her merchandise and stuff. outside of that, he's a devout atheist who hates anything pertaining to christianity, and also likes to wear spiffy clothes with his signature trillby (he gets mad when you call it a fedora). he also considers himself a die-hard "defender of women", even if they don't really need his defending in the first place. james is very confident, self-assured, and intelligent on a number of different subjects. unfortunately, his impulsiveness, woefully short temper, and burning need to prove his intellectual-ness to everybody do more than enough to get him into trouble.

james likes reading, being on the internet (and reddit), magical girl animes, minako minami (his waifu), using big words, listening to obscure bands, retro video games, sonic the hedgehog, dino chicken nuggets, winter, chess, his cool katana, atheism, wearing trillbys (they are NOT fedoras), and defending women. he dislikes u/Interesting_Corn4479 (his sworn reddit archnemesis), internet trolls, people dissing his waifu, being called cringe/pretentious/a neckbeard/any other insult people might think up, his trillby being called a fedora, his brother, christianity, asparagus, summer, triple a games, and seeing women suffering.
